You need to think about:
- What did you enjoy?
- What could have been better?
- Do you have any new ideas we could include next year?
Topics you could talk about are:
- Your pirate themed Maths lessons
- Your visit around the Maths Trail
- When Year 5 came to teach you
I look forward to reading your reviews!
I really enjoyed maths week because on Friday class 5 BW taught me about measuring. I had Jaiya,Sid,Gobinb and Malik from that class. I also liked doing the maths trail because they were maths questions and went all around the school and it was really fun. I really learnt lots of it. Next year we can do the maths trail and start to make a big
ReplyDeleteship but using shapes. thank you for maths week and I think we will have lots of fun next year as well.
What I enjoyed about maths week was fun and a little bit easier and harder but everyone else enjoyed it but the maths trail was easy and fun with the year 6 class. When the year 5 came they made a little bit hard work but I still got all of my stuff correct. When I did my pirate themed maths lesson it was fun because you have to get the pirate to his treasure and get the pirate back to his ship.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed maths week because I liked when the year 5's taught me how to make a paper boat. A different idea is that we could go to the year above us and learn there work and be in there class.
ReplyDeleteI THINK EVERYBODY ENJOYED IT!!

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the part when we done the maths trail because we were like being detectives and finding stuff. We where finding what letter and number so we no what place we suppose to go to. I really enjoyed the pirate themed maths lesson. It really interesting and there were directions to solve the problem. next year we could include a mystery and some clues around the school and solve it. when the year 5 came to see us I did 3 activities that was measuring, car racing and making boats. We were testing our paper boats in a tray of water. however has the most cubes on there boat wins. 4 groups go into another class and 2 groups stay in my class.
ABOUT MATHS WEEK
ReplyDeleteThe thing I enjoyed about Maths week is when I did the maths trail.
The one thing that could have been better was my paper boat I made with Mr Worsley's class.I had a new idea for maths week and that was making paper aeroplanes and see how many metres they can fly.BY ADNAN THE KING
I really liked when we did the maths trail, because I got to be with my team and I really liked doing the maths trail with my group. The next thing i liked doing, was when some of the children from my brothers class 5BW came to give us some challenging maths questions. The people who thought my group were Elina, Adam, Om and Rachel. They gave us the challenge to guess how heavy the chocolate bar was. Whoever was closest had two stickers and other children had one sticker.
ReplyDeleteI also liked the pirate lesson, because I got to tell Pirate Pete where to go and how to get to the golden and luxuries treasure.
HAWA,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed making paper because it was my favourite part. Then we try it outside in the water it worked a bit. Only it went up to 26 cubes fit in the boat. The maths weeks shod be before summer holidays because it cold.
This Maths week we had lots of fun!!!I enjoyed the maths trail because I get to see new places in school. It could have been better if we got to teach year one.Next year we could include all the classes in the school to go treasure hunting in partners.
ReplyDeleteOne of the topics is my pirated themed maths lessons. One of the pirate themed activities was testing paper boats. We made paper boats using various kinds of paper.
Maths week
ReplyDeleteThe thing I liked about maths was when I made paper boats.
The thing that could've been better was my paper boat.
the idea I had was to see how many 3D shapes it would take to make the boat sink BY ADNAN THE BEAST!!

Maths Week 2017 DS year 3
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Maths Week this year. It was great fun. I hope every week follows a maths week in every school in every year in every class around the world.
What I liked
I liked the maths trail because everyone was confused and the other team gave us the awnser. I also liked it when the year 5s were teaching us I told Gurjaipaul tissue was the best he did not believe me, tried to break my boat and said look at my boat to everybody. His boat held 23 blocks(fact for later). My boat turned into a piece of tissue paper by the wind. I gave up. Then my piece of paper seriously held 27 blocks(use fact for comparing).
What could have been better
The thing that could have been better is getting a longer maths trail. Secondly, is having maths everyday as a lesson would have been better. Finally, having 3 maths trails a week would have been better.

I enjoyed maths week because it was fun, exciting and interesting way of learning. What I like most was the treasure hunt as we got to see Mr Wright's office and also being with my friends. My second favourite part of maths week was we can answer pirate problems by myself or ask my partner for help. All this was very thrilling and suspenseful.

Mina-
ReplyDeleteIn maths week my favourite element was when we went to the year 5 classroom because first we did some measurements. After, we made some boats using paper, tissue paper and card. Then, we went outside to put our boats in a box of water, we then tested which of the materials were the best at holding lots of cubes and the best one was tissue paper because it held 17 cubes in it. My favourite part is when the year 5 students were helping us make some paper, tissue paper and card boats.
Maths trail
The maths trail was amazing too because we went around the school to find all of the challenges that were hidden inside the school and out. There were only 2 outside but there were 5-6 challenges inside. The first challenge was to separate some of the 2D & 3D shapes into their section. The maths trail also had some estimating in it. In the maths trail I liked the part when we were estimating how many skittle packets were in a box. There was an estimate of 5 and an estimate of 6. The next thing I liked about the maths trail was when we did the first challenge and it was as fun as the estimating but the difference was that estimating was a bit quicker because it was done with the whole group, the first one was with the group but the only problem was that we had to find all of the shapes and put them in the right places. The maths trail wasn’t that hard to do but the only problem was that we were only allowed 1 hour, but we finished on time. Only one group was late to come back because they came 30 minutes later when we had all finished the maths trail.
What I think we can include next year
I think we could include some things about time. Like how many days in a year or some word problems about time. We could also use fractions in maths week next year as well, such as fractions into decimals or even decimals into fractions. I would like to do this because I like fraction word problems.
The pirate theme lesson
I liked the pirate theme lesson as well because I liked the element when we were making a net for a pirate boat that is 3D. The net was hard to cut but it looked fine at the end. The most difficult one was the cube because it was hard to cut out so it could be the same.
What could have gone better?
I think that the pirate theme lesson could have gone better because it was too hard and it was very hard to make. The next thing that could of gone better during the pirate themed lesson was that we didn’t do the boats we only made some nets and we didn’t finish all of the nets that we made.
I realy enjoyed Maths week because when the Year 5`s were teaching I enjoyed the game. The year 5`s could let us do more things for example measuring Millilitres and Litres . Next year we could include more maths and things that are related to maths.
ReplyDeleteGurjaipaul
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed maths week, because we did about pirates and I think, I could do better at shapes, word problems and weight. But, I enjoyed the maths trail it was awesome and cool!!! I think that I could solve the problem by understanding it in the maths trail.

We have looked at these in class
ReplyDeleteThank you for your wonderful reviews of Maths Week.
